Institutional Social Responsibility
The Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Cell at Anna Leela College actively engages students, faculty, and staff in meaningful social and environmental initiatives — fostering a culture of responsibility, empathy, and community service.

ISR organized an online poster making competition on the occasion of World Environment Day 2021. Posters were based on the theme: "Protection of Mother Earth During Pandemic." Entries were collected through Google Forms.
ISR in association with RPH organised an online webinar on the topic of "Nature Unlock" on Teams platform. The resource person was Ms. Rashmi Joshi, Environment Consultant. More than 150 students and faculty attended the webinar.
ISR in association with BMS organised an online Envoventure Campaign based on Covid protocols to be followed during Ganesh Chaturthi. The campaign included video and Instagram reels competition.
Continuing the legacy of 8 years, ISR contributed 1000 kgs of nirmalayas during the pandemic, with the help of the Student Council and students who contributed and brought nirmalayas after segregation.
ISR Committee in association with IQAC conducted a compost pit donation drive and utilized the organic compost for plantations in the campus. Natural compost made in the premises was utilized as manure.
ISR in association with IQAC conducted an e-waste collection drive in the month of February. Approximately 200 kgs of e-waste were gathered with the help of staff and students, which were allocated for safe recycling with Ms. Rashmi Joshi, Environment Consultant.
IQAC in association with ISR and NSS organized an intercollegiate poster making competition. Theme: "Nature Heals: Lockdown Effect." 124 participants enrolled from 7 different states including Tamil Nadu, Jammu Kashmir, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. 52 participants successfully submitted on time and received participation certificates.
ISR, NSS and DLLE in association with BMS Dept. organized an online Envoventure Campaign for spreading awareness on safe practices during Ganesh Chaturthi. Included E-posters, micro blogs, jingles, and videos on college social media. More than 25 volunteers from Alumni, ISR, NSS, DLLE, BMS, MCOM, BMM, BAF, BSCIT, BCOM departments participated.
In association with Ms. Rashmi Joshi, Environment Consultant, ISR conducted a composting activity in the college premises. Organic and biodegradable waste like flowers, kitchen waste and leaves were collected and mixed with culture components in the compost pit area.
In association with Ms. Rashmi Joshi, Environment Consultant, ISR disposed off reusable and recyclable electronic items. 406 kgs of e-waste was sent for recycling. The college received a Certificate of Appreciation from a Government body for the responsible citizen initiative.
