NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

The College received permission from NSS Cell, University of Mumbai to start the Unit vide letter no. NSS/ 230/2016-17 dated 5th July, 2016 and allotted college code as SC-04.

NSS MOTTO

The motto of NSS is “NOT ME, BUT YOU” which stands for two things: forgetting and surrendering the self and rendering selfless service to others.

AIM & OBJECTIVE:

  • Understand the community in which they work.
  • Understand themselves in relation to their community.
  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process.
  • Develop a sense of social and civic responsibility among volunteers.
  • Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
  • Develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities.
  • Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
  • Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
  • Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters
  • Practice national integration and social harmony.
