BAF department started the year in a very enthusiastic way to achieve mission of the college which is well reflected in the activities conducted throughout the year 2021-23. It started with the welcoming of the first year students by conducting an orientation programme to give an overview about the course, committees, college discipline, code of conduct to be followed for examination and the activities to be held through the year.
DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES FOR 22-23 BSE VISIT
Department of BAF for 20 students of SY & TYBAF had taken on a corporate visit to BSE on 15/07/2022.The visit was divided into seminar cum orientation of BSE operation by the head of BSE Brokers Forum.Dr.Aditya Sriniwas had a online orientation with the students and second section was practical orientation through visit around the instituion.The visit started at 11:00 am and ended at 12:30 pm
PEER TO PEER GUIDANCE SESSIONDepartment of BAF organised Peer to Peer Guidance session on 20/07/2022 for guiding students about Govt. jobs and facing interview. 67 students of SYBAF & TYBAF were present for the same Our students Ritesh Shetty, Bushra Qureshi from TYBAF was selected to train FYBAF students.Ritesh explained the different types of Govt. Jobs and how to apply for their exams.Bushra on the other hand explained how to prepare for an Interview, how to face them.
GUIDANCE SESSION FOR CHARACTED ACCOUNTANCYDepartment of BAF organised a Guidance session on ‘Preparation for CA exams‘ on 22nd July 2022 at 11:00 am onwards by CA Krishnan.65 students of SYBAF & TYBAF were present for the same. He discussed about the preparation of CA & CFA Exams ,their exam pattern and ways to prepare for the examination ,the pay packages and higher position oppournities
GUIDANCE SESSION FOR IBPS EXAMDepartment of BAF organised a Guidance session on ‘IBPS exam preparation ‘on 25th July 2022 at 10:00 am onwards by Mr.Prathamesh Tawade.65 students of SYBAF & TYBAF were present for the same. He discussed about the preparation of IBPS Exams ,their exam pattern and ways to prepare for the examination ,the pay packages and higher position oppournities
GUIDANCE SESSION ON STOCK MARKETDepartment of BAF organised a session on Stock Market on 26th August 2022 at 12:00 pm by our student of TYBAF MR.ZAFAR for FYBAF & SYBCOM & TYBCOM students.116 students were present for the same. He discussed about how the stock market works ,how to invest and earn money from stock market
WEBINAR SERIESDepartment of BAF organised a webinar ARAMBH on 22nd ,23rd and 24th September 2022 on an online zoom platform at 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm .On 22nd September 2022 our speaker Mr Kaushal Mishra guided students on Fundamentals of Stock Market .On 23rd September 2022 our speaker CA Amogh Desai guided on Outcome of BAF streams and on 24th September 2022 CA Harshal Baser guided on Use of Accounting in FINTECH.It was a Inter-collegiate event which was live on YouTybe.Total of 130 participants attended the event.
BUSINESS DAYDepartment of BAF organised a the event of Business Day on 7th January 2023 to build business leaders for tomorrow.Students from all streams participated by putting their stalls.28 stalls were placed by students which sold wide varieties of goods like food,clothes and beverages.Ms.Viji Kanan was invited as external evaluator to judge the event.Winners of the event were awarded with Cash Prize and Certificate.
GUEST LECTURE ON ADVANCE EXCEL ON MICROSOFT EXCELDepartment of BAF organised a inter-departmental Guest lecture on Advance Excel on Microsoft Excel by CA Kiran Gijjar on 12th January 2023 from 12:30 PM onwards.60 students of BAMMC and FYBAF attended the Lecture. Students learned basics of Excel for future growth in corporate world and clarified their doubts and queries on Microsoft Excel
GUEST LECTURE ON CORPORATE PRDepartment of BAF organised a inter-departmental Guest lecture on Corporate PR by Mr.Nimit Sachdev on 14th January 2023 from 12:30 PM onwards.60 students of FY,SY AND TYBAF attended the Lecture.Students were explained about how Corporate PR works in an organisation and taught practical skills of strategic planning,communication.
GUEST LECTURE ON SKILL ENCHANCEMENT FOR ECONOMIC ANALYSISDepartment of BAF organised a inter-departmental Guest lecture on Skill Enchancement for Economic Analysis by Mr.Kiran Gomes on 31th January 2023 from 9:00 am onwards.44 students of SYBAF attended the Lecture.Students gained different avenue for ecomic means and income generation.
BUDGET 2023Department of BAF co-organised Budget 2023 in 3 phases: Live Screening, Expert review on Budget and Panel Budget Discussion . Live Screening was conducted on 01st Febraury 2023 from 11:00 am onwards .50 students of BAF attended the same.Expert Lecture was conducted on 16th Febraury 2023 from 12:00 pm onwards by Dr.Aparna Jain .She highlighted quite a few points about the budget and Panel Discussion was conducted on 17th February 2023 from 12:00 pm onwards .Students formed panels and debated on various section of the budget.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES:-Bridge test: – It was conducted for First year students to identify their weak subjects and guide them accordingly. A small test was conducted to identify the same and the following subjects were taken up for course Economics, Maths and Accounts based on their performance.
Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE):- It was set up with a view to make students learn the subject continuously wherein objective form question where prepared to test their performance. This test was conducted twice in a semester in a lecture hour itself.
Intensive and extensive coaching:-Based on the performance of CIE intensive extensive groups were identified and time to time assignments (Paper solving), guidance, extra lecture and case study work was conducted for bringing improvement in result.
Mentor Mentee System: A group of faculties known as mentors were equally assigned to all students known as mentees. Fortnightly meetings were held between mentor mentees and all problems relating to academic, career and personal counselling were discussed.
