Induction ProgrammeB. Com Department organized “FYBCOM Orientation Program” on 29th July 2022. The students of Anna Leela College of Commerce and Economics who enrolled for FYBCOM program for the year 2022-23 participated in orientation program along with their parents. They were directed about B.com program along with the curricular and co-curricular activities provided by Anna Leela College. With the count of 78 students and 58 parents attended this program.

Overview of Capital Market and study visit to Bombay Stock Exchange in association with IQACDepartment of Commerce organized Students Development program and study visit “Overview of Capital Market and study visit to BSE in association with IQAC” to BSE in Association with IQAC, the objective of this course was to give students knowledge about working of stock market, economy, monetary policy, and other aspects from 4th July 2022- 7th July 2022 and visit to Bombay Stock Exchange Campus on 15th July 2022.
Students has been given with proper idea of working of stock exchange Students has been made aware of different trading instruments and platforms Students were given practical exposure to trading in Bombay Stock exchange by Dr. Aditya Shrinivas Exposure to various career options in stock exchange and trading
Career Guidance Seminar on “What after Graduation?The department of commerce organized seminar on career guidance session was organized with a view to create awareness among the students about scope in the field of commerce and management. The students of third year batch 2021-22 has been addressed and enlightened by the eminent resource person Dr. Ravikant Sangurde on 6th October 2022.
Teachers Day CelebrationThe students of Department of Commerce (PG) M.COM. organized a small function to express their gratitude towards teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day 5th September 2022. Principal Dr. Rajendra Patil sir has also enlightened with his motivational words.
Overview of Capital Market Operation in association to Bombay Stock Exchange and IQACDepartment of Commerce organized Students Development program in Association with IQAC, the objective of this initiative was to give students knowledge about working of stock market, economy, monetary policy, and other aspects from 1st October 2022 to 4th October 2022.

Live Streaming of Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2020-21 of Reliance Industries LimitedDepartment of Commerce organized a live streaming session of Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited for the year 2020-21. The Idea behind this session was to enlighten students about how the AGMs of joint stock companies are conducted, what business is transacted and who address on behalf of the company etc. This session was attended through teams app by selected thirty students from third year of undergraduate course of the department. Faculty member of the department also attended the session.
The Students were briefed about the working of the Stock Market, Fundamental Analysis of the Stock Exchange, Mutual Funds, Derivative Market and Live Terminal by the Speaker Muzibar Shaikh.
“Union Budget 2022-23” organized by Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce hosted a Webinar on Topic Union Budget 2022-23 for the first, Second and Third Year Students on 20th February, 2022. The Resource person of the day was Dr. Rajesh Harichandra Bhoite, HOD and Assistant Professor, Anjuman-i- Islam’s, Akbar Peerbhoy College of Commerce and Economics, Grant Road. The Students were enlightened with in-depth knowledge of Union Budget which consists of a detailed account of the government’s finances, its revenues from various sources and expenditures to be incurred on different activities that it will incur. The Union Budget comprises Capital Budget, Revenue Budget, Expenditure Budget, and this also has the next fiscal year’s estimates. The Event was attended by more than 150 students from all the classes.
“Economic Survey 2021-22” organized by Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce hosted a Webinar on Topic Economic Survey 2021-22 for the first, Second and Third Year Students on 13th February, 2022. The Resource person of the day was Dr. Shivaji Pawar, HOD and Assistant Professor, Department of Business Economics, Mulund College of Commerce, Mulund. The Students were enlightened with the in-depth knowledge of the Economic Survey which includes the state performance of the economy during the previous year, Future Challenges and the way forward. This include the country’s Performance in the last one year. It also relays key Challenges that lie ahead along with measures to deal with them. It essentially lays the groundwork for the presentation of Budget. The Event was attended by more than 100 students from all the classes.

International Webinar on “Application of Chanakyaniti in Modern Education” International Webinar: The Department organized an International Webinar in association With MUCTA (Mumbai University College Teachers Association) on the topic of “Application of Chanakya Niti in Modern Education” on 11th May, 2020 the resource person for the webinar was Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, world renown author of the book Titled Chanakya Niti. The webinar was attended by more than 4800 faculties across globe and webinar was streamed lived on YouTube and was viewed by more than seven thousand viewers on You Tube.
International Webinar on “A Dawn of New Economic Reforms” organized by Department of Commerce in association With MUCTA (Mumbai University College Teachers Association)The Department of Commerce Organised an International Webinar in Association with MUCTA (Mumbai University College Teachers Association) on Topic ” A Dawn of New Economic Reforms” on 23rd May,2020. The resource person for the webinar was Shri Hrishikesh Utpat, Deputy Commissioner, Indian Revenue Services Customs and Central Excise, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.The webinar was attended by more than 5000 faculties across globe and webinar was streamed lived on YouTube and was viewed by more than Nine thousand viewers on You Tube. The Expert enlightened the participants with various dimensions and Sectors of New Economic Reforms or Policy.

Activities (2019-20):
Study Visit to Bombay Stock Exchange: Department of Commerce organized Study Visit to Bombay Stock Exchange on 11th September & 13th September 2019. The main objective of the visit was to acquaint Commerce students to the working of Stock Exchange and thereby obtaining firsthand knowledge of the intricacies of Stock Exchange.
It is the endeavor of the Department to give practical exposure to the students by organizing such field events. Total 50 students of FY/SY and TY B.Com participated in the visit which was co-ordinated by 2 members of Department of Commerce- Prof. Nitin Dwivedi& Prof. Kiran Gajjar. The students were apprised of the working of stock exchange through lectures conducted by BSE Brokers Forum in the college.
Then a field visit was organized where the students were explained in detail about the working of stock exchange by Dr. Arvind Shrinivas (MBA, Ph.D) . Students were shown live trading through Brokers Terminal. The resource person also answered queries of the students regarding importance if stock exchange to Indian Economy.
One Day Visit to Afforestation SiteThe Department of Commerce organized One Day Study Tour to an Afforestation Site at Rahtolivillage in Badlapur on 11th February, 2020. Teachers of the department with 140 studentsattended in order to witness wonders of mankind to retrieve nature. The said area was almost adeserted space due to lack of water and trees, but with rigorous efforts of Forest Department ofState Government changed the face of the region. Lakhs of plants were planted and grownsuccessfully with proper channelizing of water resource made this possible. Students were ableto see and understand what can be done to restore the glory of nature. The Forest officer and hiscolleagues provided all the details of the place and taught students about how to grow plants andtake care of the same with limited resources. The objective of the visit was to enable studentswhat can be done to save environment at the same time what remedy can be executed forenvironment sustainability. All the students were happy and understood positively their role to protect the environment.
Activities(2018-19):A visit to Bombay Stock Exchange is organized to provide practical knowledge of trading on for 50 Students Essay Competition 2017-18, on 12th December 2018. Total 103 Students of F.Y.B.com, S.Y. B.com, and T.Y. B.com were participated in competition.Activities (2017-18):

Department of Commerce had organized Inauguration of Commerce Association and release of First edition of Monthly Magazine “Commerce 3600“ of Academic Year 2016-17,on 20th august 2016 at 11:00 am in Room No 418, Fourth floor, Anna Leela College of Commerce and Economics. 141 Students of F.Y.Bcom, S.Y. Bcom, and T.Y. Bcom were present for the function. Key note speaker for the seminar was Dr. (C.A) Pradeep D Kamthekar from R.A.Poddar College, Matunga,Mumbai. The session started with the lighting of lamp at 11.00 am. Student of T.Y.B.Com Uzma Khan introduced Chief Guest and In charge Principal following felicitation of Chief Guest and In Charge principal. Kiran Sir (Co Ordinator of Department of Commerce) given brief idea about Commerce Association and its activities. After that In charge principal, Prof Prashant Shinde given brief idea about benefits and various opportunities available for students through Commerce Association. Exclusive motivational speech delivered by chief guest with discussion on magazine topic BEXIT by Dr C.A Pradeep D Kamthekar. Chief Guest had released fist edition of magazine “Commerce 3600“ Lastly vote of thanks given by T.Y.B.Com Student Lad to conclude the function.
Department of Commerce had organized Business Quiz Competition 2016-17 under the banner of Commerce Association, on 30th September 2016 at 12:00 am in Room No 418, fourth floor, Anna Leela College of Commerce and Economics. 42 students (21 Teams of 2studetns each) of Anna Leela College of Commerce and Economics were participated in competition. General instructions, Rounds and Rules of the competition explained to participants. The competition started with preliminary eliminating round. This round of 15 Minutes contained 20 written Questions with four options to each team. 12 Teams (24 Students) selected for second round. Business related quiz asked with the help of PPT to each team during this round. Out of 12 teams 3 teams are selected for final round. After tough competition during final round two teams did excellent with difference of 15 Points one team declared as winner. Winner and runner up team awarded with trophies and certificates.
